Capturing the Light of Gibraltar’s Iconic Lighthouse.
Traditional watercolor art painting based in the Gibraltar Lighthouse.
This painting is based on one of my favorite landscapes: Europa Point, the southern tip of Gibraltar. This time, the painting was created as a commission, and from the very beginning, the process was smooth and focused.
I had a clear idea of the style, the technique, and the final look I was aiming for.
The goal was to capture the sunny and brilliant atmosphere of Europa Point — a place where light dominates the landscape, even with the presence of that typical misty horizon. I used bold, saturated colors with minimal mixing, and strong contrasts to intensify the brightness of the overall composition.

Final Notes / Artist’s Reflection
Some paintings are a challenge. Others are a flow. This one was the latter — and sometimes, that’s exactly what the creative process needs. A moment where everything fits, the vision is clear, and the brush simply follows your intent.
